@Glennywise Its not just "plugging a box in the wall", depending on what service your getting it could mean having fibre infastructure and an ONT installed(for FTTP), or at the very least having your property connected at the cabinet and exchange(for FTTC), all of which is dependent on the availability of Openreach engineers in your area.
