Sky Broadband Activation date one week ago (still not connected)

I recently decided to switch from BT to SKY for broadband and phone as I already had a Sky TV package. The activation date I was given was this past Friday. I was promised that by midnight Friday 13 September that it would be connected. The hub was mailed to us but there has been zero communication with Sky. I have phoned them a total of three times. They ask for which phone number to call back and two of the times, was promised that it has been escalated to 'the manager'. I am still using internet via BT but I don't know how long that will last. BT was informed that we were switching from Sky.

 

I am tired of phoning them to try to reach a human and then be told, we will call you back tomorrow. Is there anyway I can find a solution. I am also wondering if this is how the start is with Sky, then what will the next two yers look like?
