Moving Home - Timings
Hi, I am moving in the new year and will have to downgrade from super fast fibre to standard.
How long does the transfer take given that it would be a different product? I need to make sure I have a connection on the day of the move.
Also, do I arrange the date of the connecting for the date of completion of the new property? I wasn't sure if I should ask the seller if that's ok or if it's normal practice.
Thanks

Re: Moving Home - Timings
@Thevoid Any home move involving broadband needs a minimum of 10 working days notice, bare in mind the Christmas/New Years holidays will delay things too.
The seller may already havce a live service at the property so trying to get is changed prior to the completion date may well beproblematic and the current owner will no doubt need access to their service up the of the move.
Until the property is officially yours and you have a move in date you can't transfer any services.

Realistically there's no way to guarantee that over cabled broadband, so you'd need to have an alternative using cellular data available.
