My ONT box is on the far side of my house and therefore so is my router. If I was to move the router more centrally in the house, is it as simple as running a longer CAT 6 cable from the ONT box? I assume this will not impact the speed to the router if within about 20m of the ONT. I have 500mbs to the router currently. Thanks.

Category 5e will suffice its more flexible than cat 6 and will maintain the speed over 100 metres
