Missing Fibre Box

My mum has completed a sale on an apartment, when we looked round there was a white box plugged in which was for the Fibre, now that is missing and there is just a cable (which I presume is the ONT cable) sticking out of a hole in the wall. She is going to go with Sky so when they sent her a router would she just plug that into a router? It just looks like something is missing?IMG_0083.jpegIMG_0080.jpeg

That's the end of an optical fibre, and the green jack plug connects into an Optical Network Terminal (which is the missing item)

The ONT then connects to the Sky Hub over ethernet cable.

Re: Missing Fibre Box

@TimmyBGood is it normal for someone to take an ONT with them when they move out of a property? How easy is it to have another fitted?

People appear to misguidedly remove them quite regularly, hence the advisory notice printed on newer models (as above)

You'd need to contact the ISP to arrange for replacement.
