My devices connecting to Sky Q box WiFi instead of router
Most of my WiFi devices show that they are connected to an extender (Sky Q) rather than the router. Does anyone know why?

Re: My devices connecting to Sky Q box WiFi instead of router
@Mememeoo9 devices will connect to the nearest unit when younhave Sky Q boxes networked with a black Sky hub as each box acts as a WiFi hotspot. You cannot control which box a device will connect to and they should roam seemlessly as the hub and Q bixes form a mesh network.
However this can be a nusance if as can happen a Q box has a relatively poor connection to other units as the speed its WiFi hotspot provides will be slower than the speed the device can get if that Q box is not on. The solution is to improve the speed of the Q boxes connection to the hub. When I had Q myself I had this problem so I used a pair of powerline adapters to improve the connection to a Q box furthest from the hub which made the Q mini far more reliable when in use for TV and improved WiFi on the floor where it was installed.
