Am having ongoing wifi issues. I have an extension cable from bt master socket, then the microfilter, which has hub and phone line plugged into it( as hub cable not long enough to reach master socket) i dont use my phone should i ditch the filter? Help!!

Top left, then a phone extension cable with the filter on the other end, which then has cable to phone( which I don't use) and cable hub/ router

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@loucook31 Okay with that wall socket you can't ditch the filter as the router dsl cable that plugs into the filter would not fit. You can plug the filter in the socket and get a longer DSL cable if you do not use the phone and just run that cable to where you want to have the router in position.

Thats great thanku. So plug filter into bt box, buy cable- is it rj11 cable, or is it called adsl cable- sorry, i have no clue and then plug that straight into sky hub/ router?
