MS Teams keeps freezing on video calls using 500Mb
I've been with Sky Full Fibre 500Mb for a couple months. My wife and I use it at home to work. We are intermittently getting issues with video calls freezing for a few seconds on MS Teams. We have the older Sky router with Wifi 5.
We are located some distance from the router, but I have a Sky extender only in the next bedroom which is receiving decent signal. Speed tests indicate we're getting something like 200Mb in the bedroom we work in. I've been running ThinkBroadband network quality tests and it reveals no issues.
For the last 3 years I was with Jurassic Fibre and we had zero issues like this. The only difference being that they used a Nokia router with Nokia Beacons.
I have tried rebooting both items, but we're still getting the issues. I've been through the diagnostic tests on MySky account and it's revealing no issues and telling me to ask here.
Any ideas?

@BrentStarburst1 If you have a wireless wi-fi issue, you could try connecting direct on the sky hub to see if the issue is still there!

Hi - it's not possible to relocate the home office to downstairs in the front room.

@BrentStarburst1 Looks like a call to sky for you then! You could also try the position off the extender somewhere else just in case it is not keeping signal to the hub good!

Re: MS Teams keeps freezing on video calls using 500Mb
have you tried using powerline networking? In most homes this will give you a 100mbit to 300mbit wired connection to the router and eliminate all wifi issues. WiFi can recieve interference from so many things in your home and from neighbours devices.
TP-Link TL-PA717KIT 1-Port Gigabit Powerline Starter Kit is only £40 on amazon. You will not get the 1gbit advertised connection speed because the age of wiring and everything plugged into it will slow the connection. However for video streams you are better off with a stable connection rather than a super fast connection.
All you need to make sure of is that the two power sockets are on the same ring main, this should be the case unless it is a very large house or extensions have been added.

@JimM1 - I wanted to speak to Sky, but when I went through the steps - it brought me here!
