Logs error - any help?

Hey All - playing games online that keep dropping out and get following logs:

15:42:44 syslog: [75226.638000] eth2 (Ext switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 10) Link UP 1000 mbps full duplex
15:42:58 syslog: [75240.796000] eth2 (Ext switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 10) Link DOWN.

My internet is good, 675mbs so unsure what it means!

Re: Logs error - any help?

All fixed - rogue device in port 2.
I removed that and everything works and logs are good!

Re: Logs error - any help?

Hey! ONT is plugged into port 4 labelled WAN. It's always been in that one and gaming was fine.
Ethernet cable from Sky box (black one) is in port 1.
if I unplug the Ethernet cable from my PC I still get the same issue on wifi, albeit it downloads a bit longer but still drops off.
im wondering if it's a fault with the sky box?

syslog: [75226.638000] eth2 (Ext switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 10) Link UP 1000 mbps full duplex
syslog: [75240.796000] eth2 (Ext switch port: 2) (Logical Port: 10) Link DOWN.

Re: Logs error - any help?

@Jimmy81 Just swap the ports over port 1 and port 2, see if the error log changes the port error, would disconnect the Q Ethernet in case it is causing a port issue....

Re: Logs error - any help?

My car charger Ethernet cable!
Cable must be defunct or something, popped that out and the pc came alive!

Re: Logs error - any help?

@Jimmy81 If you need the charger on Ethernet you could always try a Gigabit Switch inbetween both incase it's just an oops in comms, sometimes happens cost's are about £20 + couple £'s for a short Ethernet cable if you do not have one lying around!
