Less than half the speed I’m paying for
Anyone else have full fibre broadband? I'm paying for the 900mbps and I'm getting in the 300s. I've only had it installed for 5 days and it's been absolutely rubbish from the start is anyone else having same problem?

@Mb19661 Have you tried to re-start the router and turn the ONT off and back on to see if it goes back up to full speed?

Hi thanks for your reply yes I tried it the other day when calling sky and still no joy. Sky told me to give it a few more days then they will send an engineer out but I'm thinking maybe they are waiting for my cooling off period to end?

@Mb19661 how are you measuring speeds? If on a device connected to the hub by WiFi you are likely to be measuring the WiFi speeds in your home which depend on the layout and. The only reliable method of testing speeds to your hub is by using a drvice with a gigabit ethernet port connected by a direct ethernet cable to the hub.

Whilst on the phone to sky when troubleshooting they told me to go on to test my speed online or on fast check.

i have the same issues, upgraded from bt line to fibre and took out the 300 package " white box " and all we get is up and down strenghts... starting to get very annoying now and yet when i call in they say it good at our end!! we both work from home and both get up and down every day, test my stsyem on there checker and its was just about 80... why is this happening all our kit is fine we follow the experts instructions, starting to think going back to a BT line now yes its not fast but at least it stays at the same speed all the time.

Yes exact same experience with me I was with virgin and had none of this. Also I contacted sky again this morning and after a lot of troubleshooting my WiFi is still the same I was told open reach would contact me in the next 72 hours with a resolution but time is running and so Is this cooling off period. I might just go back to virgin as this was the reason why I left sky 2 years ago but with them now having full fibre in my area I thought it would be a lot better and more reliable but it's really not.

Also hawksey you would think when using cable to router it would be a lot better as it's direct but goes to show sky broadband is terrible altogether.
