Leaving Virgin Broadband for Sky Broadband

Hi, I have joined Sky Broadband as of 30/5/23, I just need to know if it will be Sky who contacts Virgin Media to cancel my broadband with them, or do I need to do it myself?

@Wilbs78  You need to cancel with Virgin Meia yourself as the use 2 different networks so Sky are unable to cancel this for you.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

You will need to cancel with virgin seperately leaving maybe 1 week of overlap just in case anything goes wrong on the openreach side

Virgin was one of the non-Openreach ISPs supposed to fall within the remit of the Ofcom-supervised 'one-touch switch system' as of April 3rd 2023, but implementation of that has been delayed.  Ofcom is fairly annoyed by this, but realistically the 18 month deadline they chose to set was almost certainly not feasible in practice.
