I might sound stupid asking this, I've never thought about an actual landline since joining sky 2 years ago.. but do I actually pay for a landline as a standard?

By default Sky Broadband is bundled with a PAYG version of Sky Talk: if you don't make outgoing calls then there's no extra cost.

Part of the broadband subscription pays for rental of the data circuit, sometimes (inaccurately) referred to as the 'land line': that has to be in place for an internet connection to be delivered to the property.
