It went off then reloaded itself but five times in an hour

This happens to me, and no doubt many others. Sky's approach is to keep you busy checking your connection so you get fed up, or the probem seems to be fixed.
As the problem will go away on it's own, this is clearly an issue at Sky's end.
The site design is so poor it takes too long to report issues - between failures. Testing connection will fail and even when an issue is noted (about 5%) the next step is to just retest.
Today my issue was different. I show as connected but have constant issues with timeouts.
Now after 5 hours I have gone from down 95% of time to being up more than down....

Find out more@Transit2006 you need to report the issue to Sky, the recent wetvweather has caused numerous faults which need checking but not suprisingly the Openreach engineers are pretty busy. I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private chat session to get this sorted. Keep an eye onnthe forum as if you miss the message just click the chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.

@JimWalsall sorry that is almost certaily incorrect most of the current issues customers are encoutering are due to the very wet weather causing issues with the copper phone network. Sky's own network is not involved and as the Openreach copper phone network is replaced by full fibre lines are far more resiliant. Report the issue to Sky who will get Openreach to check your line but given the number of issues it coukd be some days before an engineer is available.
