Issues with poor WiFi since upgrading to new router (white router)

Since upgrading to my new router (white sky router) sorry I forget the model. My signal strength has been very poor. So bad that my signal drops when I'm literally in the next room. This never happened before the upgrade. I will need to admit that my router does have many many devices connected (not all working at the same time) I have been through the sky signal test (it says the signal is strong) and tried all the trouble shooting tips. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to increase my bandwidth or signal strength? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I work from home.

@JC113 Do you still have your older black model SR203 of the new Sky Max SR213 that you have got! Or is it winging it's way back to sky as returned!

Same here. Dreadful service since getting the white modem. Rubbish internet...sky tell me I get 72 MB to the router...when I run an internet speed test, I'm getting less than 1 MB

Thanks..I speed test regularly as the system goes down equally as regularly...plus I have a fibre optic engineer as a son in law!

The return package got damaged so I didn't return. I still have it.

was charged by Sky for not returning it mind.

I may need to bite the bullet and source an alternative provider.
