Issues with minimum speed

I upgraded to sky gigafast a while ago now and have never reached the minimum guarantee wifi speed I rung customer support and they sent out a new router an engineer came out and recommended we request a sky wifi max router which we should've already had but upon ringing sky they told me I couldn't get one I checked online and I definetly can so I'm not exactly sure what to do at this point because I'm only getting 200mbps even when standing next to the router

@Beverley16 200mbps is way above Sky's WiFi guarantee, the most they guarantee via WiFi is 25mbps in every room on a Gigabit fibre connection via Sky WiFi Max.

The other speed guarantee is the line access speed and that is the speed from the exchange or cabinet to the router, it does not cover speeds to your devices via WiFi.

Re: Issues with minimum speed

Ah i see i will most likely be switching providers then as even when the engineer visited they were questioning as to why we were receiving less than 600mbps and that we hadnt received the sky wifi max router with our package

Re: Issues with minimum speed

@Beverley16 Have you ever connected an Ethernet device to see what you can get, also the sky Service checker will show you the last 30 day's history as the check once per day and record it for you, as speed to the Hub!.

You should be able to push upto 600Mb/s speed wireless wi-fi, but it does depend on how good your wireless connected device is!
