Issues connecting Xbox series s

Hey 👋 

 

until around 1 week ago, my Xbox no longer connects to the sky max hub. I have tried both wireless and through Ethernet but no joy. 

when I go into advanced settings on box the router and Xbox via Ethernet, there is a settings mismatch. The IP is on the 169. Range, rather than 192.168.0. The DNS is completely wrong too. I have both cleared the MAC address, and added manually to try to force send the settings but no joy. 

I have tried a factory reset of both devices (Xbox and router) but issue still remains. Xbox is on the latest update and works fine using mobile hotspot. 

Could be irrelevant, but since this started, all ny devices freeze until a router reset (multiple times a day) and have to rejoin every time on the glass and pucks. The settings are to remain connected to internet and energy saving off (as seen in another thread). The max hub will infrequently flash green, go to red, back to green, then white. But all within 15 seconds. 

Sky say they have looked into it and there are no issues recorded but there clearly is and not capturing. 

Personally I believe this is a router hardware issue. As before, all devices work as expected when using the hotspot off my phone. 

Any help, advice, or frustration if you have the same issue are welcome!
