Issue with Router Access and Wi-Fi Configuration

Description of the issue:
For the past few days, I've been experiencing problems accessing my router and maintaining a stable internet connection. The issue started after I tried to block YouTube using the Sky app and later disabled that block. Since then:

  1. I can't log in to the router's admin panel (via 192.168.0.1) from any device (computer, phone).
  2. The internet connection is unstable – I am frequently logged out of various accounts (e.g., Google, Facebook).
  3. I attempted a full router reset (30-30-30), but the problem persisted.
  4. I turned off the router for an entire night, but I still can't access the settings or maintain a stable connection.
  5. Ping tests to the router and external addresses (e.g., Google – 8.8.8.8) are successful, indicating that the network is working, but I can't access the admin panel.
  6. Both my phone and computer connect to the Wi-Fi network correctly, but I can't reach the router settings via the browser.

I would appreciate assistance in restoring access to the router and resolving the internet connection stability issue.
It’s possible that there is a configuration conflict after using the Sky app to block content, or a firmware problem with the router.

Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Piotr Przybylak

@wolek1111 sounds like there  a number of possible  issues so its probably worth stepping through a few diagnostic steps.

First when you lose connectivity do the lights on the hub change - this page explains what they mean https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

Assuming the lights don't change then your broadband is staying connected.

If you have factory reset your hub you should not have to worry about the hub's settings as the defaults should connect properly. Changing the setting of Sky's Broadband Shield does not make changes to the hub it changes the filter which operates on a Sky server

Connection to sites and staying logged in is not something that the hub is involved in apart from routing traffic to the site. If this behaviour is on one device run a full security scan as if you have picked up some malware that could cause these symptoms and it is better to be safe and run a negative scan.

Assuming thst is clear there is one further step which is on your main device go into its network settings and change the DNS setting to manual and add the addresses of Google's public DNS which are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 this is a beltvand braces solution as if Sky's DNS isnt giving adderesses fastvenough Google will.

Increasingly modern browsers object to opening web sites which do not have a security certificate for HTTPS which the internal web servervin your Sky hub doesnt have as it is not required for a site not accesible from outside your network. Its worth using a different browser or turning down the security settings to access the router's control interface but frankly you should not nedd to access thst for the symptoms you describe.
