Is anyone else having issues with WiFi?

My "voice" light is orange and the Internet light is completely off. All other lights on. Can't get hold of anyone online or call to speak to. Have tried everything!

@Rainbow12  Did you try these links?

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

Please be aware that outages after midnight are usually down to maintenance, please see this pinned post https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband/Important-Notice-Scheduled-Broadband-Maintenance/td-p/5151847...

If your ONT shows a Red Light please see this guide https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/Broadband-Talk/Can-t-connect-to-broadband-and-have-a-red-light-on-your-...

Re: Is anyone else having issues with WiFi?

Hi, yes I have tried both. It says there isn't a problem in my area but a problem with my broadband. I've tried all the steps and lights still off. Chat isn't available to speak to someone and I'm a big que online so wondered if this would be a quicker help as to what could be wrong 😅

That extremely poor choice of wording absolutely doesn't rule out an individual circuit fault: it's supposed to mean there's no known wider issue affecting multiple households.

Re: Is anyone else having issues with WiFi?

Sorry you don't like my choice of wording when I'm replying to the other person and stating what the connection issues came up saying 😅 . I wasn't saying there isn't a problem with my connection, clearly there is. I'm asking for help as when I get so far on the connection step it says "oops, sorry that didn't work" and that they are having problems with thier tests. I can't get through online so I'm seeing if someone else could know the problem.

@Rainbow12  They weren't commenting on your post but on the poor choice of words on the Sky Broadband checker.

You will need to re-run the tests to see if it pick up a local issue.

Not your choice of wording: it's how Sky words it in the app message and online, and it's routinely causing confusion for people who post here because it appears to be contradicting their own experience.

We've repeatedly raised this with Sky, along with the unhelpful nature of the online checker in general.

Ah I see, so sorry I misunderstood you 😔. Thankyou for your help. I've managed to call them and they are sending someone out on Thursday with a £25 charge. Amazing 😮💨😅

Ah I see. I've managed to get hold of them and they say it's a problem with my own connection. Sending someone out on Thursday with a £25 charge. Not what I needed in the summer holidays and with work online to do 😢 - haha. Thankyou for your help!
