Is Sky broadband a scam?

I just joined Sky yesterday. I'm on VIP, Sky Max. My internet speed is 2.5 mb/s and I can't do anything with it. I tried everything from switching on and off to doing a rain dance. I'm sitting next to the router. I have two boosters. I can't speak to a human being on chat or on the phone. It's extremely frustrating and I deeply regret joining Sky. 

OK rant over. What can I do to get myself out of this mess?

@AE8 Was the system connected and live yesterday! After midnight off the installation day then sky should be good to go and running full tilt!
