Irish Sky Ultrafast BB customer receiving UK public IP

Hi,

Hoping some fellow customers can advise here.

I signed up to Sky Ultrafast Broadband (500Mb) last month. Everything seemed fine except I noticed some oddities with content on Netflix, thought nothing of it until the other half mentioned it multiple times.

Upon checking the public IP, it appears to be detected as a UK WAN IP. As a result, I can't see Irish content on Netflix, Youtube is delivered as Youtube GB instead of Youtube IE, resulting in lots of 'unavailable in your country' videos.

This has now also caused a problem with multiple geo location 2FA systems, where I may sign-in on my phone via data connection (Irish IP) and then go home and sign-in via desktop and all of a sudden my IP is in the UK and I'm blocked.

Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Would love to find a solution or switch to an Irish IP at the very least to resolve work log-in and evening entertainment being denied.

Thanks,

Regards,

Frank

@frankie132 you can normally change the public IP address by powering down your hub for an hour or so hopefully picking up an IP address mapped correctly on restart. If it continues you will have to raise this with Sky Ireland.
