Internet speeds consistently slow
Despite ringing several times and going through hours worth of set up and checks etc and passed from department to department our internet is still constantly slow. So slow on some days my son crnt even do his homework online as we can not even open google!! We had an engineer out the other year who said their was a fault and likely needs open reach to come look but nothing is ever fixed.
Living in a rural area we are not able to get fibre so have to pay even more for the internet we do get and get a worse level of service. Despite having guaranteed speed we run the test regularly and the speed is never at that level yet it is never flagged at there end! This is becoming ridiculous now especially with school holidays kids are home and wanting to use the internet.

Re: Internet speeds consistently slow
@GlennKat Once you picture posted is cleared for viewing will take a look at it!
Ok it's cleared now, and you look to be possibly on a ADSL line with the speed's that the picture is showing, so unless you have a specific line fault or background usage that you cannot see, hard to say, get's involved to check if you wish to do so, link below start's you off.

Re: Internet speeds consistently slow
Would appear to be (faulty) ADSL: unfortunately Openreach really isn't making much effort maintaining that obsolete technology these days.
If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.
https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome
It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Re: Internet speeds consistently slow
@GlennKat Basically points out the lack off speed available to you on a very long line to the nearest street cabinet point or even further, no full fibre as you were aware off and if you do manage to look and post the other would help to see how bad or how connected you are.
Phone is just not going to cut it for doing so, if that is all you use for checking!

Re: Internet speeds consistently slow
@GlennKat You have installed a sky Max system on that ADSL service, and not the pages but take a look at the linked post again, sample was shown on it so you may be able to get to it however you are doing it and the Max has the same page info, Router Stat's is what you are looking at to get too Advanced, Router Status and bottom off that page for the old SR203 hub was where they were, NO idea what the Max is!
