Speed test either works or it doesn't (i.e. 100/20 with 0 packet loss or the test gets stuck).

 

Tried rebooting the router and have a new IP (updated the BQM). Still issues. 

 

I'll try removing all connected devices but don't hold to much hope.

 

Should have stayed on FTTC 😔.

@depulYou went offline just before 2pm till just before 4pm as far as the BQM is concerned and back on again with what looks like just the same condition of response to the sky Hub, which one are you using currently, the Broadband hub or the sky Max?#

Between the hours off 7-8pm you were perfect so what was going on at that time?

Yep that's when I rebooted. Left it powered down for a couple of hours before reconnecting it. 

 

I'm still using the Hub 4 (SR203). 

 

The Max Hub gives me a more stable connection but it still constantly drops. It's a shame I can't run the BQM on this. 

 

I've requested a replacement Sky Hub which I'll also try.

@depul  a third party router seems the solution We seemed to have the same issue. Random drops. Tried two Sky routers. Lots of reboots. The Asis was £50 well spent as we now haven't had an outage in three weeks.  The third party routers appear to be built better. Obviously if you use a land line that won't work.

@JimM1 I saw the one posted that looked incredibly similar to my BQM. I tried all the solutions with Sky hardware changed, reboots etc

@depul As you have the SR203 on line then use the tool below and look at your stat's, pay particular attention to the wan trafffic bytes in/out and to the wireless band to see what is going on!

@JimM1 I didn't do anything different between those hours. It's completely random. Sometimes the internet (and VOIP) lights will go amber. Sometimes the lights stay green but it's unusable. 

 

@Michael+Dunlop seems like it is a hardware issue or a combination of the line and the hardware as the Sky Max Hub seems better and giving me a more stable connection. But both routers are not fit for purpose. Unfortunately I need the landline so I'm a bit stuck.

@depul Fully mindfull that you require the landline for operation that is why i have not suggested that you get a third party router, but your network is showing very unstable, and until you switch everything off and only have the hub on, let the BQM fall back so we see what is going on, i know this is a complete pain to do but sometimes needs must, just now it;s hard to say what is going on, that is why i posted up look at your stat's, when quite no wan traffic....

@depul If it helps. Over the past couple of days my BQM is looking much better. Albeit this a month in.

@Michael+Dunlop lucky! Might be worth trying a 3P router just to figure out what the issue is.

@depul Your sky Hub may be just fine, and a couple off wap Mesh units may just sort it all out and keep the phone, so don't jump off the deep end first.....

 

You can turn the wireless off completely on the hub, that is VERY EASY to do, and for both bands also just uncheck the Enable Wireless Access points and apply, BUT YOU will need an Ethernet PC connection to turn them back on or a factory reset to do that!!!

@depul 12pm to 4pm you were pretty good today, no packet drops just starting to creep in again after 4pm ish!
