Internet issues - not connecting but service checker saying it’s fine

Had this issue all week now - previously we had it around 8:30-9pm where the internet would drop out but this week it has constantly been out of an evening. 
I work from home and the WiFi is fine during the day but of an evening we struggle to connect to WiFi. I have restarted the Sky Q box and the broadband router and am still unable to connect. 
Despite this the service checker app still says everything is fine throughout the night when clearly it is not. 
I recently renewed my broadband with Sky and thoroughly regret not going to a different provider after these isssues .
