Internet is down and sky q

Good morning. Out sky service has suddenly dropped. No internet or sky q is available. We have turned off the wifi and back on but it's still not working

@EmmaNewby  Your broadband being down would no affect Sky Q for live channels as they are delivered over satellite, only catch-up and on demand would be affected.

 

For Broadband first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:

https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

If there isn't try running the line test here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.

Regarding the internet, when there are issues between midnight and 7am it's quite possibly going to be essential overnight maintenance taking place which is carried out then to minimise disruption as most customers are asleep. However as @GD1 indicated this wouldn't affect your Sky Q live TV viewing.

 

Are your payments up to date, in other words could your Sky services have been restricted?
