Internet dropping out

Since 6th November our internet has been dropping out multiple times a day and running slow. As I run a business from here our IT company have rebooted everything, updated the software and checked their end and can find no issues with the equipment or networking. They believe there is a fault on the line and they can see the multiple drop outs occuring since that 6th Nov so believe that is when it occurred.

Re: Internet dropping out

Sky has circa 6 million residential customers... operating your business on a residential line might not be the best.

That being said, information is sometimes key.

My ISP has circa 10K customers, and tickets are usually answered within 24 hours. Just received the following via WhatsApp community channel  re Openreach outages "....

Openreach Session Drop

We're investigating why we have just seen hundreds of customer sessions just drop (and come back online).

Update

We can confirm that, hundreds of users were briefly disconnected before automatically reconnecting via other BT Wholesale interconnects within our network.

We are raising this with BT Wholesale and will provide updates to this incident as soon as further information becomes available. End users will likely have experienced an outage of approximately 10 seconds while their connection was rerouted.

Resolved

We can confirm this is resolved after BT Wholesale replaced a router within their network.

As we have full redundancy in the core network, no customer was impacted for more than a few seconds..."

My point is, you might need an ISP that offers more personal/ pro active service.
