Internet dropouts, worst with i phones
Help please, our devices keep dropping the internet connection and speeds are slow. i phones are worse than lap tops. We have sky q with 2 mini boxes, all TV`s work ok, we are on sky broadband superfast. The health check says we are getting the minimum speeds but we still have drop outs. What can I do?

Re: Internet dropouts, worst with i phones
@AJN1973 Your line has a fault as the noise margin of 11dB is significantly higher than it should be which is in the range 3 to6dB, it loks like Openreach have capped the speed at 18Mb/s down to stabilise the connection. I am surprised that is above the line guaranteed speed.. I would call Sky and raise the issue with them so they can get Openreach out to check the line and to see what can be done to improve the speed.
IPhones have a setting which by default will switch to using mobile data if tgat is faster than wifi. If you dontvwant that to happen you can turn it off. The setting is in the Mobile Data settings right at the bottom so scroll down and is called WiFi Assist.
