Internet disconnecting when it rains.
I am absolutely sick of my internet cutting out when it rains. I reported it last year and got told it was fixed. It was not fixed and I am STILL having this problem. I dont feel listened to when I say the outside connection is a mess, done so by Sky. Please can a Sky technician help me with this issue, I'm paying for a service which isn't being delivered. Thank you

Re: Internet disconnecting when it rains.
@Michelle106 Sky engineer sdont answer posts but even if they did it wouldn't help with your issue. It is Openreach who owns and maintains the copper phone line your Sky Broadband uses. Sky can only ask Openreach to check and repair a line they cannot force them to do so.
It is technically a complex business sending data over copper phone lines which can be decades old using high frequency electrical signals and as you will be aware water and electricity dont mix well. Fortunately Openreach are in the process of switching from using copper for the connection to customers homes to full fibre which is immune from most of the bad weather. As the copper network is scheduled be replaced within a few years Openreach are very reluctant to do more than sorting a dodgy joint so you are not alone. Report the issue to Sky again but if you have a long run to the cabinet especially if it is run on poles this is likely to recur.
