Internet cutting in and out and discussion board

Like many post my interent seems to be cutting in and out which is only noticable when playing online game as it cuts the game off and it cuting in and out rather fast as I can tell by the computer upstairs connected by wifi as at least I see the wife cut out then back in.
I only put the box on the other day as I didnt even know sky took over the internet and was using my daisy router for 3 months which worked just fine then I change to SKYs router and everything goes boobiesup.

First everything in my pub could not use the internet even though I called the wifi the same as the other router but sorted that out then I had to reset CCTV and now my games has lost internet 5 times in the past 6 hours which I thought might be the game but its not and I noticed the upstairs wifi signal lose connection then come right back which suggests the internet is losing connection even if its just for a second.

The router light all stay green so not as if the router loses internet and another thing that bothers me is that SKY is making me send ALL my internet traffic to their DNS servers.
This means all my info etc is going to their servers THEN its passed on to where I want it to go aka a web page etc and they made their routers so you can not change the DNS servers which is strange and makes me wonder why they are forcing people to use their slow DNS server rather than the fast ones.

We think Sky Broadband Shield is based on DNS.  Realistically DNS lookup makes very little difference to overall broadband speed.

Which also makes you wonder why you are forced to use it.
