Internet and WiFi will not connect

Hub has been switched off and rebooted and the internet will not connect

Hii, I'm also having a similar issue. I've done all of the rebooting tests. My router is showing a green power light and a green wireless light but my router is missing the Internet light completely.  It flashes Amber and then disappears again. It's only started happening in the last 2hrs or so. I've been fine all day. I did recently have a power outage in the area due to a substation catching fire. That was 2 days ago... I'm only having this issue since the last 2hours Sky is really frustrating at times! 😕

The first thing to check is this link to see if there are any outages in your area:
https://www.sky.com/servicechecker


If there isn't try running the line test here:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start


You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.


After this has finished and if it reports back all is good click on broadband to run an updated test. If you get amber or red please follow the on screen instructions.


If this is of no help give Sky a call to report it to them.

@SukhKaur your outage could well be connected to the substation fire the lack of even an orange light indicates a loss of connection to the fibre cabinet supplying your line. These units have built-in batteries which ensure the service stays up during most power outages but as betteries do they run out of charge. Openreach should get this sorted but it may take a while to get the sevice restored as equipment can get danaged due to a voltage surge.
