Internet Dropping since Sky Max Hub Installation

Since the Sky Max hub was fitted several weeks ago the internet drops in and out.
The WiFi signal across my home is nowhere near as good as  the previous hub.

My WiFi extender (in my garage)and other items that are hard wired to the hub get zero internet access.

My EV charger is unable to connect, my wireless oil tank level is no longer accessible.

My Ring devices randomly connect.
When the hub in was fitted the engineer did report that the broadband was faulty.

There are 2 x iPad, 2 x iPhone and 1 x Mac Mini that all connect fine but the dropping in and out of the broadband is a nightmare.

I can no longr7work from home as the broadband is unreliable.

I find this unacceptable.

Re: Internet Dropping since Sky Max Hub Installation

Many thanks.
I have an engineer visiting early next week.

I'll post the results in this conversation.

Re: Internet Dropping since Sky Max Hub Installation

Engineer changed Sky Max hub, it's too early to tell if drop outs still occur.
Range improved downstairs but is sporadic upstairs.

EV charger unable to connect although I can see it on WiFi on occasion.

Still have trouble connecting any extenders, I have two NETGEAR  Nighthawk extenders which connect to the WiFi ok but there is no internet (I have hardwired them as well to check).

Cannot see Sky Max Hub in My Sky app to adjust settings.
My Sky Q box can be seen in the app and I can also see the WiFi name (which confused me somewhat).
Apparently I can lower the security settings

to allow my extenders to work.

Apparently I can order Sky extender 'pods' but can't see how.

All too much hassle, I have wasted

too many hours on this.
Seems like this product was rushed out before being fully supported.
Bring back the previous black hub!
Next option is to remove the Sky Hub and install a NETGEAR Nighthawk router and see what happens, if anyone has advice for this then I would be grateful.

If this is too much trouble then bye bye Sky after being a member for 19 years.

Re: Internet Dropping since Sky Max Hub Installation

Update.

1. Waiting for the Hub to show up in My Sky app.

2. Still unable to access internet via any device connected to the ports on the rear of the hub.

3. Cannot use my EV charger as it will not connect.

4. Cannot use my work laptop as it's VPN does not want to connect.

5. Both my extenders connect to the wireless but cannot gain internet access.

6. Smart TV, Sky Q, iPad, iPhone, Ring devices, Bose speakers x2 all connect and work.

I don't have phone signal in my house due to remote location so that rules out connecting to hot spots or any other means.

Re: Internet Dropping since Sky Max Hub Installation

After lots of doing the same thing, re setting, wrong information, unplugging there is no change. The final straw was telling me that plugging Ethernet cables into the back of the hub was causing 'too much interference' then directing me to a dashboard where I could change all the settings.  I think a couple of months is long enough to rectify and it was mostly my time that has been wasted and I have incurred additional expense as a result.  I am leaving Sky in totality.
