Internet Drop Out

It has taken me 20 mins to write this message as my internet has been dropping in and out.  It has been happeneing for the last 2 hrs and it is making working from home difficult.

Especially for video calls.

I've done all the online Line Checks etc and evertything shows fine.....because i can only check it when the line is connected, so it will be fine.

Can some one from Sky please give me an update.

Area of concern - Bush Lane, Wisbech, Cambs.

Regards

@Dolly718 nYou're not addressing SKy customer services, no one will contact you or update you in response to a forum post.

Can you run this test https://www.sky.com/servicechecker

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Internet Drop Out

 Thanks GD1,

I was just venting. I've ran all the online tests, which say 'everything is ok'.  Because they only run when the internet is connected to the computer.

I think it's sorted itself out now, fingers crossed.

@Dolly718  You can run the broadband test on a smart phone on mobile data when the broadband is having issues.

@Dolly718

Your stats show a line fault so if you havent already I'd call and report it to Sky, alternatively we can escalate your post on the forum so you can chat to an advisor.

@jamesn123 @Highlinder

I have been having major issues with my broadband for weeks. I ran the report as mentioned to the OP. Does the above mean anything to you?

Thank you.

@KNMCW

What are your major issues? Your line looks absolutely perfect with 80mbps down & 20mbps up. I would suspect your problem may be that you are totally WiFi reliant (e.g. not using any ethernet connected devices) and are experiencing WiFi congestion/interference.

Re: Internet Drop Out

@jamesn123  Thank you.

I do not know about tech things, but I am pretty sure ethernet is plugged in??  All our devices are just off the wifi (logging in to wifi) so I think you are right. I have unplugged a few that we do not use much, so fingers crossed.

Re: Internet Drop Out

Ps my major issues are my Sky Boxes constantly saying that we have no internet so cannot download etc, both laptops dropping out every 20 mins or so,  Amazon devices not responding. Trivial but annoying.

Re: Internet Drop Out

Dobe all that, still says everything is ok. Because the test is running when the internet is connected. It doesn't tell you you have a problem.....
