Inability to speak with or email Sky

I recently cancelled my Sky Broadband and returned my equipment. I received a no reply email from Sky thanking me for returning it.

Now 2 weeks later I am being chased for not yet returning it and saying I am going to be charged.

The Sky chat function is hopeless so I tried calling only to be told I no longer have a broadband account. I know - that's why I returned my equipment!

@ChrisPDuck

Have you kept your proof of posting / tracking information / email from Sky confirming the package is with the courier?

Sky use Unipart to deal with returns and they are taking a number of weeks to process equipment at their warehouse.

With or without proof of posting contact Sky to try to get this sorted.

Please don't try to post an image of the Royal Mail tracking or postal receipt as Sky don't allow them on the forum.

Re: Inability to speak with or email Sky

Yes I have the proof - if Sky accepted emails I could send them a copy of their own outgoing email thanking me for returning the equipment.

I tried calling them but obviously my broadband account is closed so the person on the phone won't recognise me as a customer (even though my sky log in and password worked in order to get through to her). There must be a better way for customers to communicate!

@ChrisPDuck You put earlier on the post " I received a no reply email from Sky thanking me for returning it."

So what is correct!

Re: Inability to speak with or email Sky

Sky send emails so clearly use the functionality .... but they are marked do not reply. They clearly use outgoing  emails but block incoming emails. If you attempt to email Sky it will just bounce back.

So my post is correct as written.

Re: Inability to speak with or email Sky

@ChrisPDuck It's one off those, the e-mail is in the post, all after the fact, sky no longer want to communicate once you leave the fold, you know/ they know so it's a will they or won't they try to bill for the returned item that THEY know about. If you have had all the refund back done with and no other services with sky, just know easy way for dealing with it, you can complain that is e-mail to sky!

There are links to Skys social media sites at the bottom of this page so they might be worth a try.
