Hello I have just moved into a property and they have left there sky box router at the house, would sky be able to use this equipment to give me Wi-Fi. As kids with no Wi-Fi is crazy. As virgin has let us down

You would need to call sky on 150 from a sky landline or mobile or
zero three three three seven five nine one zero one eight from any other phone

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe Sky router left behind by the previous occupants could be loaned equipment, and if it is they will be chased for it by Sky so don't dispose of it. Any router for your order should be a new one.

Find out moreUnfortunately neither the previous occupant having used Sky as an ISP or them leaving their Hub behind (which they shouldn't have done) speeds up the process: there's still around a two week (ten working day) lead time from order to activation for FTTC, and potentially much longer for FTTP provision at an address with no current optical connection.

You cannot use that hardware, nor is it your responsibility. You might however consider hanging onto it for a while in case the previous occupant realises they shouldn't have left it behind.
