I bought this router to use directly with sky, as I believe it has a modem built in?
I followed this guide, and it still wont connect to the internet.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@user4879 You need option 60 & 61 in thr DHCP Options, you only have one of them, I remember needing both previously.
One has the user ID other has password, sorry can't rember which is which as I no longer have my old draytek router as I upgraded to a 3910.
In the Dynamic IP tab make sure it's on dynamic ip and not the other 2.

Are you on FTTC (UK) if so you need <poa/static/dynamic IP tab enabled.

OKay thank you, and for firewall, it shows it has an option ticked called "Strict firewall" Should I disable this if I am play fps games?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@user4879 Strict firewall is the router firewall protection as standard, you shouldn't have any issues with gaming so unless you need to I would leave it as default settings on every other page with the draytek range.
There isn't any reason to start fiddling with settings on these routers as they are complex, but I find that the default settings work well on their own.

Hiya
We are trying to do the same - can't extract the sky username/password from wireshark but also we have Wan1 and Wan2 - one computer on the draytek switch box can access the internet but no other devices can including wirelessly. The one computer than can connect is windows 10 - we have changed all settings for Wan1 and Wan2 as above but wan2 just won't go green and connect. Any ideas?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@NicolaB567 you dont need the wireshark step as all Sky connections use a common string
The | is a pipe symbol separating the username from the password. Youcan replace the string "anything" with any string you like.
Can't help with your WAN issue but given you only have one Sky connection isnt the WAN2 for a different external feed?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@NicolaB567 By default if your connecting to the phone line for FTTC then WAN 1 is the one you should Wan 2 is normally for Ethernet connected devices such as a modem or Sky hub.
How are you setting yours up? Direct to Phone connection or to Modem/Hub?

Thank you - I rang Draytek and they talked me through it - for some reason and maybe because we had a windows update on the same date but the default gateway changed to 1.2 instead of 1.1 and we ended up doing a factory reset of the router. All up and running now.

Thank you - it was as a modem/router but managed to sort it by resetting the ethernet adaptors.
