Humax box has lost iPlayer etc on freeview

Since installation of sky internet I have been unable to get iPlayer, and other tv icons on humax box with free view. Netflix works fine.

@ChrisR55  Have you tried  a network reset in the Humax settings menu?

That seems to have done the trick.

Thanks very much for your advice.

I have the same problem after upgrading to sky ultrafast hub. All freeview apps including Netflix work, it's just iplayer that doesn't work (error code 4002). It's a humax pvr 5000t and it doesn't have a network reset in settings.

@Rich19531 according to Google Humax error code 4002 indicates an issue with your units software at a guess the last update of the iplayer app is not working. There is a full factory reset option in the menus but you will probably lose all data on the hard disc if you use that. However go into the Settings/System Settings/check for updates to see if the can sort the issue.

Re: Humax box has lost iPlayer etc on freeview

There's nothing on my Humax menus that includes a network reset. I have checked the software build level on the box and it's May 2022. There is no later software available. I think the problem is to do with the Wi-Fi encryption standard on the ultrafast router - it's default is WPA3T but the Humax box only supports up to WPA2.

I could downgrade the router to WPA2 but don't really want to do this. Maybe I'll have to live without iPlayer!

Re: Humax box has lost iPlayer etc on freeview

Interestingly, we had a power outage for a few minutes recently and since then Iplayer has started to work again. It seems Wi-Fi is back to WPA2!

@Rich19531 Sky have changed the defaullt WiFi security on the white Sky Max hub to wpa2 because quite a few devices gave errors on wpa3-t.
