Re: How many devices can I connect to the WiFi max hub
@Ash351 technically the device limit is around 250 but practically it is far less.
There is no hard limit as it depends on the devices you have and the type and amount of data they use, their sensitivity to increased latenv]cy and the speed of your connection. So while you may well start to hit issues with say 5 users streaming video or playing games at once on a connection you coukd have more than 30 IOT units happily sharing the connection. Devices that are sensitive to delays to their data suchas game consoles or streaming boxes start to struggle when a router is overloaded a smart switch will happlilyvwait for a command
My own Sky Max hub deals with well over 20 devices without any issue and probably a lot more. As it happens my own home automation kit does not uses a different wireless protocol so connects as a single device. The unit appears to have a reasonable amount of processing power as I have streamed on 6 devices simultaenously in tests.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode
