How do I check my signal strength. It drops when I go in the kitchen. And when I pop out the door even though I'm outside I'm 2m away from my router but signal keeps dropping out. My kitchen is only 25 ft from the router.

Find out more@Claire+etheringto you can look at the wifi icon on your phone as that will give some indication but on most phones you can install a wifi analyzer app which will show the signal strength and channel for all wifi networks in range. A neighbour's network on the same or adacent channel will interfere with your network if its strong enough.
If the 25feet is air your wifi signal will still be strong enough but add in a wall especially if built with bricks, maybe a radiator, furniture, people and in your case kitchen equipment made of metal and the signal could be unusable. Having your hub hugh up helps a lot as it avoids a lot of the onstacles.
