Re: Hive Ethernet connection
I'd start by disabling Sky Shield. If it still won't connect, call Hive or check their support pages. They're usually pretty good at resolving issues.

Re: Hive Ethernet connection
I was advised by Hive that sky/ Now Tv are to open the following ports
The ports a Hive Hub requires are:
UDP port 123 (NTP)
TCP port 443 (HTTPS)
TCP 5671 (AMQPS)

Re: Hive Ethernet connection
@Mick142 & @Helen197 this something that comes up occasionally quite why the Huve hubs cannnot connect is unclear. I had this issue myself a few years back and found Hive support totally clueless. In the end I simply left the Hive hub connected overnight and it sorted itself. Despite several changes of Sky hub it has femained connected since then but for some reason I cannot figure it prefers to be directly attached to the Sky hub not to an Ethernet switch perhaps connected to tthe fact the Hive hub has a 10Mb/s ethernet port

Re: Hive Ethernet connection
My Hive Hub had no issues connecting to either the SR203 or SR213 routers, so I doubt there are any blocked ports. When it did randomly disconnect a few years back when I was with BT, their telephone support was excellent. Here's the help page for the Hubs:
