Hello,
I am a fairly recent broadband customer with Sky, all previous addresses were Virgin lines.
When installed I had no issue with the service and for most connected devices the service is running as expected (70mb) except for my PS5. More specifically when playing a particular game online (Rocket Leauge - where latency above 60-80 makes it unplayable).
I had been able to play this will good Latency since early March, but two weekends ago I started seeing 350 - 800ms latency and the disconnect error for my network. No changes to setup during this time, interestingly it did recently have a new update for a new game season.
Connected via eth, all internet speed checks are showing 60-70 mb and no connection errors so my guess would be an issue occurring somewhere after my router in the chain.
I have seen some articles mention routing issues? but I am unsure how I can validate this or how I would deal with Sky about this issue.
Any advice or ideas are much appreciated.
thanks, James

The router stats show a broadband line at maximum speed for the service of 80/20Mbps with raised noise—margin showing that higher rates could be achieved. So, the issue is more complex than just a line fault.
Likely routing issues and possibly distance with re-routing traffic but some countries would create that latency of above 80ms.
Are you playing a game worldwide or just locally in the UK? If worldwide, the latency of 80ms say the USA would apply naturally...

While your problem could be caused by a routing issue it is sensible to rule out issues in your home network. Can you connect your console by erhernet or is a system like powerline adapters that use the mains wiring to carry data?
