@Sherah9898 Sky won't and can't make your connection purposefully bad.

Did you previously have Sky Q for the T.V.? if so then you will have lost the WiFi mesh network that the system provided.
It will not have made any differnece to any ethernet connected devices.

As @Smarty57 indicates, it's typically the loss of the Q mesh signal previously generated by the main Q television box plus any Q Mini boxes (and Q boosters) which causes that phenomenom.
