Has anyone ever had an in depth security investigation carried out by Sky?

Hi,

Has anyone here ever had, in depth, security checks done by Sky on request?

I'd like to know if anyone has ever asked Sky to carry out a thorough check of past connections, open ports, unexplainable disconnections on the router and questionable performance, in general?

I have, recently started to use Bitdefender protection and vpn's but am told that if  systems/accounts are already hacked, this may not be effective in ensuring security.

I'd just like to know if anyone is aware of Sky doing this on request, or if they refuse. Either way.

Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help

Short of receiving a Court Order or a warrant as part of a serious criminal enquiry, I'd think that's not something any ISP would carry out for a domestic broadband connection.

Yes, but that's boilerplate text insisted upon by their lawyers.  Clearly if a system is already compromised at a hardware, firmware or OS level or account credentials are in the wild then any local malware/antivirus product is unlikely to remedy or even mitigate the situation.

I didn't think they would, to be honest. I just thought I'd ask incase there had been any unusual instances, such as persistant security threats. I suppose it is just something that is a personal responsibility, after all, there are plenty of options to stay safe. I will just have to find mine and be consistent with it!

Thank you very much for your time and reply
