HUB 4.2

My Gigafast was due to get installed on the 5th June and today I get notification I'm getting a HUB 4.2. After much reading and comparing other providers, why are Sky sending old technology to customers who go on one of their higher end products? All the other major providers send you wifi 6 HUBs when ordering Gigafast, Sky you get to pay £9.99 a month for the privilege if your account allows. Spoke to  6 advisors today not one had a clue or could help me hence my cancellation of the install.

Have been with sky BB over 19 yrs time to move

@Berti205 There is also a stock and delivery issue with both the Sky Max hubs and there associated pod's. As to getting what was sent the SR203 4.2 hub will get you fairly close, how many wi-fi 6 devices do you have? It also may just have been a stop gap until it was all available.

As you have cancelled it may be irrelevant now.

Re: HUB 4.2

Unless I am mistaken, Plusnet and BT still supply basic Wi-Fi 5 routers on their flagship 900Mbs package. Onetream don't even offer a free router and you can rent one at monthly cost.

I've been issued with the black Hub on the 500Mbs package but chose to use my own TP link router. From what people are saying the white Wi-Fi 6 router is pretty unstable.

As a customer you are free to shop around for ISP that meets your needs.   I have been with Sky TV service for 17+ years but don't expect any specialy treatment😉
