Gigafast + Broadband Boost
I have just had Gigafast Broadband installed and was told when I ordered it that I would need to cancel it when I got the Gigafast installed as it is not needed. I have contacted Sky and they are adamant that I still need it? which contradicts what was said when I ordered it.
Any boffins know what is the case please?

Re: Gigafast + Broadband Boost
If one uses Sky's WiFi router and doesn't have many wired devices, then Sky's Gigafast broadband service isn't necessary.
In most cases about 100-300Mbps is adequate for most homes comprising an average of 2 adults and 2 children... 😎
Zen internet on FTTP (900Mbps down, 100Mbps up). Re: Gigafast + Broadband Boost
@Pry assume you are talking about Broadband Boost which is a bundle os add-on services explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-boost if you need any of those services then it is for you to decide if its worth the money and if its not call Sky to cancel it assuming you are not tied into a fixed contract
If you bought the old bundle to get the booster which worked with your old hub to extend WiFi then you need to switch to Sky's Wi`Fi Max bundle as the old booster wont work with your new white Sky Max hub. These need a new pod extender to that can come as part of that bundle see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

Re: Gigafast + Broadband Boost
Update: Just to clarify, I have spoken with Sky again and they have stated it is not needed on Gigafast and have cancelled it.
