Full fibre broadband router
Hi, I'm currently waiting delivery of my full fibre router! It was supposed to be delivered on 23rd Sept! But Royal Mail sent it back to sky as it was incorrectly addressed!. (The new fibre line has been installed) I have been on to sky on numerous occasions to try and find out when it is likely to be delivered!! To my frustration I have learned that until the sky 'back room team' have sorted out the return, they cannot or will not send out another router!! In the meantime I have no internet! No home phone! Cannot Watch Netflix or any other apps!! I find it disgraceful that I'm being made to suffer through no fault of my own! Has anyone else been in this situation?

@Smiffy12 New to sky for the upgrade, or do you currently have a sky hub?

Re: Full fibre broadband router
I've been with sky for years! I've just negotiated a new contract and was told I need to upgrade to full fibre! I've still got my old sky q hub, the open reach engineer said it will not work with fibre!!

Re: Full fibre broadband router
@Smiffy12 Do believe that the Flat sky Q router will connect and work on a Fibre connection, you will not have a phone connection but the old hub will connect and give you broadband!

Re: Full fibre broadband router
A Cat5e (or better) ethernet cable between the ethernet port on the ONT and (I believe) ethernet port #2 on the Q Hub.
Previous posts have suggested this works with the ER115 Q Hub: I don't know if the earlier ER110 Q Hub version can do the same.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Full fibre broadband router
@Smiffy12 Standard Ethernet cable from one off the two ports on the back off the Q hub, to the ONT Lan! Not tried but got an old one kicking about the home from way back in the day, it's still a worker so if you need can find and put it on, just goto to get the good lady to allow, cannot afford that upset! Been posted before that has been used and works so got no reason to doubt!
