Full fibre broadband cable

I just had full fibre fitted but the cable from the open reach box is too short for where I want the hub . Can I swap the black lead / yellow ends for a longer one and if so what type of cable is it?

The cable is a Cat 5E ethernet cable so yes you can purchase one if needs be.

The cable is a Cat 5E ethernet cable so yes you can purchase one if needs be.

Cat5e or Cat6A is fine: higher Cat rating doesn't bring any improvement and the cables get thicker / less flexible.

@TimmyBGood  6 or 6A?  In my experience 6A is about the diameter of mains flex.
