Full Fibre won't connect to SkyQ or Smart Speakers even with a newly provided booster pod from Sky

So we waited ages before full fibre was available in our area, but as soon as we received notification that it was now available, we signed up for it.  The Outreach engineer arrived and completed the indoors work (as the outdoors work had already been completed, totally unaware that someone had been an done that without our yappy dogs creating lol) Once completed he asked me to check my smart phone and that was connected (as was other devices when I checked later eg. Laptop, tablet, smart phone etc)  he also asked me to press the Home button on my tv remote and was satisfied that was working too.

However, after he'd left and I scrolled to the Apps option on Sky Q it advised me that I was not connected to any broadband or internet.  I followed all the instructions, resetting and rebooting and reloading etc etc but connection to the broadband/internet was unsuccessful, I even tried the alternative and selected that I was using a 3rd party router and completed all the steps but still unsuccessful.

I jumped onto Sky Bot and eventually got to chat with a person and not a bot, and they said they would send me out a booster pod, which arrived today.  I followed all the instructions to set up the booster pod and then to connect to the network broadband/internet WITHOUT success, tried the 3rd party thing again and still unsuccessful.  What am I doing wrong or what am I not doing that I should be doing?

@littlediddyno See if the link's gives you any ideas. Take it that you might have the white sky Max hub as you mention pod's. The Max is NOT Sky Q mesh compatible so keep that fully in mind and setup as a third party connection to the sky Max hub! Edit applied!

A Max Hub can supply broadband to a main Q box, but it connects as if it's not a Sky router and doesn't participate in the 'Q mesh'.

Thanks, I actually tried both links, there were no changes of settings of Max hub, that was all good, so I chose the connect devices to broadband.  Did what I'd done before following the instructions, place SkyQ on standby and unplugged.  Plugged it back in.  The SkyQ went through its restarting and HEY PRESTO the Sky Q was connected to the broadband.   So thanks. Not sure that I did anything different that before but it worked LOL.  Technology eh!? Actually, thinking about it, the last time I reset the skyQ was WITHOUT the booster pod... so chances are that was what the difference was to make it work.  Thank you for your suggestions.
