Sky Hub.

I've just signed up to full fibre, it was connected but I was not getting the speeds I signed up to. Sky sent me another router, not a new one but a re-conditioned one complete with minor scratches, not happy about that, which took me sometime to set up on my devices, the speed did not improve.

On another call they told me the line outside would be checked and resolved by Openreach with no need for a visit to my house.

I have just tested my ethernet connection to my pc, 91 Mbps, which is no better.

Why have I not been offered the new cylindrical hub?

Because that's only going to Sky Broadband customers provisioned on the CityFibre optical network: it's necessary for the 2.5Gbs and 5Gbs speed bands which are unique to that infrastructure.

On the national Openreach network the Sky Broadband Hub and Max Hub models are appropriate.
