Full Fibre in Chiswick / West London
Hi there - I live in Chiswick in West London. We don't have fibre to the home in our area and it seems like we aren't in the plans though to the end 2026.
I can't seem to find any info on why our area wouldn't be in Openreach's plans for FTTP. I'm assuming maybe it is an issue with infrastructure in the area as I would think there is plenty of demand and ability to pay for faster broadband. I have access to VMed cable on my street but would prefer to not more to them if possible.
Anyone have any insight into this?

Re: Full Fibre in Chiswick / West London
There can be many factors involved in it and one of the main reasons will be one you have already given, Virgin are on your street already. Openreach will target areas that dont have competing networks like Virgin first as they are likely to get a much higher volume of subscribers once the FTTP deployment is complete, compared to a street where many people are likely in a Virgin contract or dont want to move.
Other reasons can be network/exchange capacity in your area, planning permission to dig up roads or put up poles and speed of the current Openreach network in the area. E.g. If the majority of people can already get decently fast FTTC there would be less priority to get the FTTP infrastructure in place.
