Full Fibre Installation Options

I am having trouble getting Full Fibre Installed.

I do not have a power supply within 3m of the entrance point for the Full Fibre. I had an Open Reach CONTRACTOR who came to drill the hole in the wall and then Sky's job of fitting up the Router. He said he was not allowed to install it further than 3m from entry point. I tried to explain to the Sky Telephone answerer but she said if the Contractor said he was not allowed to fit it then I would have to cancel.

I just want to know if the salesperson's statement that it was simple to fit and would not change the current setup was to get me to agree or not.

My current Router is in the living Room more than 3m from entry point and where Power is available. Is it possible to set up Full Fibre like that? I don't want the Router within 3m of the hole in the wall because I have no power there and I want to be able to check it is OK. But that is the only choice I have been given.

The connection between the external enclosure (CSP) and the internal fibre modem (ONT) is an optical pigtail.  This is reasonably lengthy, but typically an installer won't bring it deep into a property: they won't go through internal walls, for example.

It's the ONT which needs mains power.  The ISP router (Hub) does too, but the link between a router and the ONT is standard Cat5e ethernet cable, and you can acquire your own such cable in essentially any length (up to 100 metres).

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
