Full Fibre Installation Issues

I ordered Sky Full Fibre on the 7th March and was given an installation by Openreach of the 21st March.  The engineer didn't turn up on the 21st. No phone call. No messages. Each time I called Sky I was given a different date when Openreach would update their systems.  28th March, an Openreach engineer turned up unannounced to install the fibre. Installation completed but speeds vary wildly from the 500mb/s I ordered down to 20mb/s.  More phone calls later and I was initially told that Openreach are having issues updating their systems so Sky are unable to complete the order and therefore internet speeds will continue to be erratic.  Was told last night by Sky that Openreach would update their systems by 5th April. Then receive an update from Sky today that the Openreach update will be the 8th April.

Anyone else having issues like this?  Any advice? Should I just wait it out or cancel the order?

I'd suggest at this point a cancellation would hugely complicate things, because any other ISP on the Openreach network would be likely to inherit the issue but with no records of their own to go with it.

Re: Full Fibre Installation Issues

That's very true yes.  The frustrating thing is being stuck between 2 companies so reliant on each other.  I don't understand how Openreach have got an issue because they're clearly supplying internet to me, albeit not what I ordered.
